UNITY LODGE EXTENDS AWA CONTRACT THROUGH 2011
The American Wrestling Alliance is proud to announce our contract extention through the end of 2011. The Unity Lodge at the Normal Heights Masonic Temple has been the home of the AWA since June 2009.
With the security of a steady venue in place, we can now focus on bringing the absolute best in professional wrestling. Look for new names and maybe even some old faces to join us in 2010 and help us prove once and for all the we are the major league of pro wrestling!

AWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP CHANGES HANDS TWICE IN ONE NIGHT.
After Threat's Disqualification win over Tommy Wilson on October 23, 2009, a No DQ match was ordered for the November 13th rematch. Threat came prepared for this altercation, even initially keeping his valet, Baby V, in the locker room out of harms way.
Knowing the he could not be diqualified, Wilson took advantage of ever possible short cut. Even a superkick to referee, Everett Scott couldn't save Wilson as Threat would pull off a very hard fought victory to become the new American Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion.
After the match, "The Mirror Image" Ricky Mandell turned in his "Call Your Shot" title contract. Mandell brought his own referee and while no one was looking, Wilson hit Threat with a superkick allowing Mandell to sneak into the ring for the quick pin.
Mandell will defend his newly won Championship on December 4th at the final AWA event of 2009. Tickets are on sale now. Click the link below to purchase your tickets.
